 ABOUT

BACKGROUND

Telemedicine is a collection of tools and platforms to connect clinicians with their patients virtually. It has gained momentum and attention during the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced people to practice social distancing, making it troublesome for patients to seek health care. This is why many chose to resort to Telemedicine.

IMPORTANCE

GOALS

TARGET AUDIENCE

To provide a global outlook on Telemedicine, its current practice and how it will become an integral aspect of the future of clinical practice for doctors, nurses, physical therapists, etc.

This tool has been recognized as essential under the current circumstances, with laws tailored to allow it to function without well-known financial limitations. We believe Telemedicine has the potential to deliver health-care that is meant to stay even after the resolution of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Anyone! This includes those with little experience or knowledge about Telemedicine. We hope to reach health care practitioners and students in the Eastern Mediterranean Region and Internationally.
